Abstract: XML (eXtensible Markup Language) is a meta-language with the excellent features of cross platform, semi-structure, self-description, separation of content and display, etc. But it has significant redundancy in its structure and is memory hungry when it comes to processing. XML compression technology must be considered, especially in mobile commerce environment which has the limited storage space and bandwidth. This paper mainly presented CXML mechanism and data processing scheme for mobile commerce application. The paper also constructed the framework of data processing scheme and implemented the scheme. The experiment results suggested that CXML and the data processing scheme could increase the compression ratio, decrease the processing time and memory-consumption. The data processing scheme based on CXML is a simple yet effective mechanism, which can be applied widely in mobile commerce application.
