Abstract: Ideological and political workers in colleges and universities are the main force of ideological and political work of college students. Their innovative behavior has a great impact on the effect of ideological and political work. This paper explores the influencing factors and mechanism of innovative behavior of ideological and political workers in universities, constructing a theoretical model with policy perception as the mediating variable, and using data to verify the model. The results show that each dimension of occupational identity has a significant impact on the innovation behavior of ideological and political workers in colleges and universities and policy perception, which also has a significant impact on their innovation behavior, as a mediating variable of occupational identity.
