Abstract: In this paper we consider a spatial economic model along the lines of the new economic geography literature. The evolution equations of the model are of the transport-diffusion type. We propose a finite difference method to study the behavior of the economy across space and time. The emergence of economic agglomerations is adressed as well as their evolution over time when they happen.
