Dear Colleagues and Friends,
This proceeding contains abstracts of papers presented at the 15th International Conference on Child and Adolescent Psychopathology (ICCAP2023) which took place in Kuching, Sarawak (on Borneo Island) from August 7 – 9, 2023. This was the second time that the ICCAP was being hosted in Kuching and outside of London, UK.
The conference theme “Enhancing resilience in children, young people and families in a changing world” took an integrated global multidisciplinary perspective relevant to academics, practitioners, and policy makers. The conference was attended by delegates from 32 countries. The ICCAP2023 has received abstracts from various academic disciplines, ranging from psychology, public health, medicine, neuroscience, and social science.
After the reviewing process, 163 abstracts were selected into this proceeding under the following subthemes:
- Autism and Other Neurodevelopmental Disorders
- Emotional and Behavioural Problems
- Family Environment, Psychopathic Traits, Self-Harm, and Suicide
- Impact of the COVID-19 Lockdown
- Parenting Programs
- Prevention and Intervention Programs for Emotional and Behavioural Problems
- Sleeping Problems, Obesity, and Scales Development
- Substance Use and Abuse, and Behavioral Addiction
On behalf of the scientifi c committee of ICCAP2023, I would like to thank all authors for their contribution and all reviewers for their time and effort in reviewing the submitted abstracts, the keynote, and workshop speakers for their visionary perspectives, the organizing committee, and session chairs for their dedication. Special thanks go to the State Government of Sarawak and the Business Events Sarawak; Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak; Ministry for Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development; and Ministry of Public Health, Housing and Local Government Sarawak for supporting this conference.
We hope this conference has inspired continued innovation and collaboration in child and adolescent psychopathology research.
