Abstract: In this paper, to overcome the problem of increasing traffic, using state space equations, a comprehensive model of urban traffic network are obtained in a isolated intersection. Then, two fuzzy logic controllers, one for optimized green time of traffic lights and one green phase is used for an extended time. In this system, types of sensors is video detection, they are placed strategically at incoming and outgoing legs (lines) and the controller utilize the information received from these sensors to make optimal decisions to minimize the goal function. The simulation results show that TAOSF (Traffic Actuated Optimization Signal Fuzzy control) …had a great improvement in 6 different traffic conditions such as certain, uncertain, using random data, and in 4 different traffic conditions using the real case study of OSTANDARI intersection in Mashhad, Iran, in comparison with the fixed time controller, real operation of Australian SCATS (Sydney Coordinated Adaptive Traffic System) system, TASFC (Traffic Actuated Signal Fuzzy Control) system in previous work for estimation of the goal function which is minimizing the queue length and the delay time of the vehicles. Abstract: Direct Torque controlled induction motor (DTC-IM) drives have been used widely over last few decades. DTC-IM drives use the stator resistance of the motor for stator flux estimation which directly depends on the stator resistance of IM. Proper estimation of the stator resistance is very important because stator resistance varies due to the increase in temperature of the machine during operation. An online estimation of the stator resistance of the induction motor using model reference adaptive system (MRAS) and fuzzy logic for the direct torque control drive is modeled and verified in this paper. The error between the actual state …variable of the machine and the estimated value of the reference model and rate of change of this error is used as input by the fuzzy estimator which gives the change in resistance value as output. From simulation it has been proved that the estimator can track the stator resistance value within 70 ms when a step change of stator resistance has been applied. The efficacy of the estimator is investigated in simulation by varying the stator resistance from the nominal value which has been done in MATLAB/SIMULINK. Show more

Abstract: IFP-FIM and GIFP-FCM are two typical enhanced fuzzy clustering algorithms in which the rationale of fuzzy clustering and its robustness to noise and/or outliers are enhanced by making the maximal fuzzy membership of each data point belonging to a cluster become as big as possible and other fuzzy memberships of this point belonging to all other clusters become as small as possible. In this study, a new finding will be revealed that their enhanced fuzzy partitions can be equivalently achieved by factitiously disturbing the given dataset using a random noise and then applying the proposed noise-resistant fuzzy clustering algorithm NR-FCM …to the dataset with factitiously added random noise. NR-FCM is designed as an intermediate step for us to observe this finding. The virtue of this finding exists in that it indeed helps us witness from an alternative perspective that fuzziness of fuzzy partitions in fuzzy clustering and data randomness can be collaborative and even mutually transformable rather than competitive. Our several experimental results verify the above claim. Show more

Abstract: This study suggests a new algorithm based on a combination of fuzzy logic and genetic algorithm (GA) to improve voltage profile and reduce loss in a microgrid. Considered microgrid includes control variables such as onload tap changer (OLTC), active power output of distributed generators (DG) and reactive power output of feeder switched capacitors that are controlled in a microgrid controller (MGC) through communication links. The proposed method was used to obtain the optimum value of control variables to reduce the loss and improve the voltage profile. The problem formulations consider three distinct objectives related to cost of loss, cost of …injected active power by infinity bus and cost of injected active power by DG. The novel formulation is a multi-objective and non-differentiable optimization problem. The control variables were changed base on fuzzy logic and the GA was employed for finding the optimum shape of membership functions. In order to verify the proposed method, a 34 bus microgrid was analyzed in varying load condition and was compared with previous works. Finally it has been tested on 33-buses system to be investigated the control variables status, cost function status and voltage fluctuation during one day. Show more

Abstract: In the literature of power transformer protection, the essential issue consists of discriminating between transformer inrush current and internal fault current. This paper presents a novel scheme for the protection of power transformers utilizing Multi Resolution Analysis (MRA) and Smooth Supported Vector Machine (SSVM). Some important characteristics of differential currents are extracted based on MRA. The combination of MRA and SSVM is proposed as an effective and fast technique for discrimination of the faulted and unfaulted conditions. The Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is used to obtain optimal values of adjustable parameters of the applied classifier. The efficacy of the proposed …scheme has been tested using numerous inrush and internal fault currents. The results confirm that the combined MRA-SSVM scheme yields high detection accuracy even in the noisy conditions. Show more

Abstract: With the increasingly development of system complexity, there is a variety of indeterminacy in the practical applications of graph theory. In this paper, the uncertainty theory is applied to study the regularity of the uncertain graph. Based on the uncertainty theory, the concept of regularity index of uncertain graph and its calculation method are raised with an illustration of the calculation method as the final part in the paper.

Abstract: The dual hesitant fuzzy set is an efficient mathematical approach to study imprecise, uncertain or incomplete information or knowledge. In this paper, we study the aggregation methods of the dual hesitant fuzzy information. Several aggregation operators are proposed, such as the generalized dual hesitant fuzzy weighted averaging operator (GDHFWA), the generalized dual hesitant fuzzy ordered weighted averaging operator (GDHFOWA) and the generalized dual hesitant fuzzy hybrid averaging operator (GDHFHA) operator for aggregating the dual hesitant fuzzy elements and establish various properties of these operators. A method is also proposed for multi-criteria decision making under dual hesitant fuzzy environment and applied …it to teaching quality assessment. Show more

Abstract: The Choquet integral is a powerful aggregation tool in information fusing and data mining. In this paper, a generalized nonlinear classification model based on single Choquet integral is summarized, and a novel generalized nonlinear classification model based on cross-oriented Choquet integrals is presented. Compared to the classification model based on single Choquet integral, a couple of Choquet integral are used to achieve the classification boundaries which can classify data in such situation as one class surrounding another one in a high dimensional space. The classification problems come down to properly specifying the fuzzy measure on which the Choquet integral(s) are …defined and the classifying boundaries by which the different classes are separated. The values of these unknown parameters are optimally determined by evolutionary computation. The performance of these models are compared and validated with existed methods on a number of benchmark datasets. Show more
